Recipe

  1. Plain Flour 155g - cold

  2. Sugar 1 tbsp

  3. Pinch of Salt

  4. Butter 1 stick (113g) - very cold

  5. Very cold water - 1 tbsp

egg wash

Apple filling - cut apple small pieces, mixed with brown sugar, cinnamon powder, lemon juice and salt.

Method:-

  1. Cut your butter into small cubes.

  2. Using a mixing bowl and a fork, mix butter into the flour. I always did it by hand, just like breadcrumbs!

  3. Next, add salt and sugar to form a dough. If the dough too hard add little ice water...little by little.

  4. Wrap dough and leave in the fridge for 30 minute.

  5. Use 2 different size of round cutters, bottom - small, upper - bigger

  6. Scoop apple filling on top and covered by bigger dough. Use fork to press side and prick on top.

  7. Brushed with egg wash

  8. Bake in preheated oven 350F about 25 minutes.
